Common collector - In electronics, a common collector circuit, also known as an emitter follower circuit, refers to one type of circuit arrangement in which a bipolar transistor drives a load circuit such as a resistor or the next stage in an electronic amplifier. In this circuit arrangement, the collector node of the transistor is tied to a power rail or a common node, the emitter node is connected to the output load to be driven, and the base node acts as an input.
Limiter - In electronics, a limiter is a circuit that allows signals below a set value to pass unaffected, as in a Class A amplifier, and clips off the peaks of stronger signals that exceed this set value, as in a Class C amplifier.
Cutoff frequency - In electronics, cutoff frequency (fc) is the frequency either above which or below which the power output of a circuit, such as a line, amplifier, or filter, is reduced to 1/2 of the passband power; the half-power point. This is equivalent to a voltage (or amplitude) reduction to 70.
Choke (electronics) - A Choke is an inductor designed to have a high reactance to a particular frequency when used in a signal-carrying circuit. They are inductances that isolate AC frequency currents from certain areas of a radio circuit.

We can broadly divide amplifiers into three categories small signal amplifiers, low frequency power amplifiers and RF power amplifiers. Each of these calls for a slightly different design approach, mainly because of the input, but larger. It does this by taking power from a power supply and shaping the output to match the input signal. This process invariably introduces some noise and distortion into the signal, and the efficiencies that can be realised. Electronic amplifier An electronic amplifier is a device for increasing the power of a signal. Different designs of amplifier are used for microwave or other extremely high frequency signals. We can broadly divide amplifiers into three categories small signal amplifiers, low frequency power amplifiers and RF power amplifiers.
